Thank you to the Rijksmuseum of the Netherlands for allowing us to transform artwork by notable Flemish tapestry designer Alexander Baert into a modern heirloom. The English translation of his original work is titled “A forest and river view with birds, a fountain and monument” c. 1700 - 1730. Baert is recognized for his intricate tapestries that often depicted idealized landscapes filled with figures and animals. His work reflects the rich tradition of Flemish art, characterized by detailed realism and vibrant colors, which were hallmarks of the period.
